Pinpoint undertook research to identify on-farm and packhouse food waste associated with fresh produce exported from South Africa to the UK and United States. Evidence was gathered to assess the scale of the issue, how and why food waste arises, and documented solutions. The study formed part of a series of global case studies on the causes of food waste in international supply chains.
