As a green skills specialist, Pinpoint guided the development of a skills research methodology, developed surveys, and undertook stakeholder interviews to better understand the challenges faced by South Africa’s marine protection and ocean governance sector. Drawing on these challenges, an assessment of the skills and capacity required to better protect South Africa’s shores and oceans was undertaken.
